Terre d'or

Terre d'or consists of seven poems by Jean-Marc Fréchette, translated by Douglas G. Jones. Lucie Lambert's overall conception of this fine edition is based on a series of sumi drawings she had made, exploring the subtleties of various fruit. The superb translation of her drawings into traditional Japanese multi-block woodcuts were printed on kizuki hosho by Masato Arikushi. The text has been set in Jan Tschichold's 12-point Sabon and letterpress printed by the typographer Michael Caine, in Paris. The book design is a collaboration between Lucie Lambert and Robert Reid. The box was conceived and executed by Pierre Ouvrard and is covered in Japanese bookbinding cloth. Each box is embellished with a work of jewellery designed and made by Lucie Lambert.
